Dinnertime laughs & catnaps

When we were cleaning up from dinner the other night (takeout from Cookout - yum!), I starting shaking my cup of crushed ice. Brayden thought it was hilarious!! It would startle him every time I shook it, but then he would just laugh and laugh. Greg grabbed the camera to film the clip below. You'll have to excuse Brayden's shirt...he had just had his dinner as well, a lot of which ended up on his shirt!

Brayden was acting a little tired before dinner tonight, but I didn't realize just how tired he was. His eyes kept getting heavier & heavier as he ate. And towards the end, he kept dozing off! His eyes would close and his head would drop down, but then he'd pop it right back up and keep eating. He could barely stay awake, but he managed to finish his meal. We got a picture of his mid-meal nap below...so cute!

A Baby Divided

With the NCAA men's basketball tournament going on, we've been watching a lot of basketball in our house this weekend. I am a UNC fan and Greg is a Syracuse fan. Poor Brayden is being torn between the two.

If UNC & Syracuse end up meeting in the Elite Eight it will be an interesting day in our house!! Go Heels!

Brayden's baptism

Brayden was baptized this morning at church. Greg and I were a little nervous about how we would be because he was a little fussy on the way there and it was right around his naptime. But he did great, which was a big relief to us! He only fussed for a second when the preacher actually put the water on his head. He calmed down right away though and then the preacher walked him around the sanctuary while the congregation sang a sweet lullaby to him. Afterwards, the extended family came back to our house for a celebratory lunch. It was such a very special day for the Parr family. You can see more pictures by clicking here.

Rice cereal

We gave Brayden his first taste of rice cereal tonight. He didn't know what to think of it, but he did pretty well. I think he actually got some of it down!! Most of it ended up on his chin or the bib though. I think Callie enjoyed it as well...she has found her new spot to be at the table. Right beside Brayden! Here are a few pictures:
Brayden also had his 4 month checkup today. He is now 14lbs 14ozs and 25 1/2 inches long. He was so happy the whole time we were at the doctor's office, except for the shots. But even then he only cried for about 5 seconds and then went back to smiling.
